Hi I'm new and don't know were to start. A friend and I just starting to hunt for meteorites in Iowa. So far were not able to find any maps on meteorite. We can't find strewn field, fall loaction, or inpact sites maps. Right now were not sure where to start. I have looked on 1000's of web sites and keep getting the same sites. I got ahold of a I S U in Iowa but could not get any imformation there. So I'm Hopeing someone here could help. Please send all the imformation you can to ([email protected]). Thanks

Welcome to the forum from the Great Lakes State of Michigan.

I don't want to sound mean or cruel, but, until recently, meteorites really weren't tracked. And, to the best of my knowledge, the size we would look for (holdable/carryable) aren't tracked today because of their small size.

Since these critters don't file flight plans with us here on Earth, it's a hit or miss operation. The dedication required is tremendous. But, the rewards are awesome.
