Here's my latest meteorite creation. It has about a half oz. of 14kt gold in the mounting. The triangle diamonds are set in 14kt white (with palladium alloy) bezels. The meteorite is nickel - iron fine ochtahedrite. It is called 'Muonionalusta'. It was originally found near the Arctic circle in northern Sweden. Very similar to the Gibeon meteorite. I am interested in selling (or trading) it. PM me if anyone is interested. Meteorite and diamond ring.jpg

Mama Bear, Thanks for the reply. I know this is not the best picture. The widmannstaten pattern is very nice on this. I etched it useing Radio Shacks circuit board solution. It works really good.

Terry, What is your finger size? The meteorite can be removed and reset. I may be able to size it as far as a 12-12.5max. Then I would re-epoxy it back into the channel. Anyway it can be done if you are interested. Thanks

Great offer Stonecutter, and I appreciate it, but I wear a size 14 ring. That ring is a real piece of art, beautiful! Maybe one of these days I'll have one made!

Terry, Thanks for your interest in the ring. I'd be happy to custom make one for you someday. I'm playing with a combination dinosaur bone and meteorite design right now. I'll post more pics in the future when I have time. I make these in my spare time. (Which I don't have a lot of lately). I enjoy your prospecting posts from time to time. Thanks, Vince
