meteorite?

I don't know much of anything about meteorites but is this one? I found it with my metal detector and it is very heavy for it's size.

I don't know jack about meteorites, but that looks like a fossil nut or crinoid

I don't think so! But!!!!

It looks glassy like Jasper or Flint of some kind.

Thanks for the link. I know nothing about meteorites and didn't know why my metal detector was attracted to it.

Was it Magnetic?

If your detector found it, it has mineral or metal content.

I know most will stick to magnets but the magnet I tried from the fridge didn't work.

Cut into it a bit and I think it is lead.
