I'm right with you too. Regardless of what the hunt brings, you can always manage to bring home a pile of clad. I store mine in a huge gallon sized pickle jar and I always enjoy adding to it. Especially after a few days of hunting when I have 3 or 4 fist fulls to throw in. I keep a Tupperware container in my car and usually fill it up before I bring them inside to clean. I know when my pickle jar is filled to the top, I have about $200.
Clad is better than scrap metal pieces, nails, etc. It's good for building expertise on understanding your MD and its signals -- I keep track of my accuracy on what I predict versus what I end up finding. And, there is always a bit of a thrill when you dig and a coin lays there waiting like some little treasure -- even if it's a tiny little Memorial cent.
Congrats on a fun day out!
NICE FINDS . THE OTHER DAY I WAS HUNTING A VOLLEY BALL FIELD AND FOUND OVER 370 COINS + SOME SILVER & IHP I DON'T THINK ANY BODY EVER HUNTED THERE BEFORE AND THE CRAZY THING IS I DID'NT EVEN GET TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE NET YET LOL. I HAVE TO SAY IT WAS ONE OF MY BEST DAYS FOR CLAD YET. OVER ALL IT WAS JUST A GREAT DAY.
THANKS FOR SHARING HAPPY HUNTING RICH
