Well Ft. Benning, GA, does have alot of historical places on it, so I do not know if that would fall under the historical rules or not, but I think it would be a good place to detect, the Fort has been here since the 1920's so some of those places back then were nothing more than camp sites with big GP tents. Alot of the buildings are old 1930's type also, so I think it would be a great place for some early 1900's silver and maybe some jewlry, I have never seen anyone detecting on the base, but I will ask the provost marshalls office whenever I get a chance. Before it was Fort Benning it was a plantation so there is no telling what a person might find. Thanks for the imput guys and gals...

Chris...
