Military buttons - first find

Hey guys, new to the forum and the hobby. Around my house so far I’ve found an old lock, iron gate topper, a bunch of nails and today these military buttons.

So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... and selecting location information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country). You might also consider adding your state (or country) to your displayed profile (SETTINGS -> EDIT PROFILE) so if you ask a question, etc. - people may have more success helping you (your location may helps etc.)...

ok the eagle type button is called a "great seal" type button and was first used in 1902 --it is still in use today -- the older sqarish type shield was used about WW1 era I think ..likely WW1 or WW2 issued ...the reverse should have a makers name on it --that can help a lot in IDing its time frame by who made it

odd item is the top part where the spokes of a umbrella would attach at

Welcome to treasurenet. Military buttons are a nice find. Search for great seal button back marks and you can get an age on your buttons.
