2010_1209thisweeksfinds0004.JPG 2010_1209thisweeksfinds0005.JPG Searching an old farmstead in south central pa. Finds were few considering the age of the place, but found this curious pin. I thought it was sterling at first, but finding no marks and some bubbling in the metal believe it to be a base metal alloy with a copper clasp (?). About the size of a silver dollar. Any ideas?

Indeed a nice find. I am not sure what it is but if you look at the 13 stars each one corresponds to a different symbol. I cant make out the symbols but I would try cleaning that area and see if there is any connections. I am a newbie so I may be way off here. *smile*
