Yes I understand it quite clearly.

Here, I'll explain it.

Patriot 1776 (with whom I've purchased from) posts about a detector. He is also a Supporting Vendor conducting business on TN, thereby spending money with this great website for said business promotion.

He has a link for his business as permitted by the rules.

Then, another member, comes on and promotes a competitor business (Bart's, with whom I've also purchased from) on the thread started by Patriot 1776 who is spending his time trying to promote his business, that he paid TN for the rights to do.

Do you not find that rather tacky, or am I just old fashioned?

If I'm the one out of line here I owe some people an apology.

Well its just that if you insist on being a cop, this is probably one of the most valueless applications for that particular activity.

I guess we just disagree.

the way I see it Post is in General Discussion, Not the Dealers forums, or Classifieds

soooo.. The post is about the
MINELAB GO-find 60

& their availability.

Both Metal Detectors . com & Big Boy Hobbies are Dealers here so mentioning them is allowed

Thread is Not about Keppy, so discussing what Keppy said or Means is off topic.
& discussion of members is not generally allowed by other members, unless
it follows certain criteria which should be obvious in polite society.

in short, what dealers post outside the classifieds is open discussion,
as long as the discusion isn't considered an attack.
