MINER Strikes GOLD!!! TWICE!!! *UPDATE: Weight & PIX***

I had a bit of time after work today to MD. "Should I hit the farm again, or should I hit a park", I said to myself. I went for the park this time, and I'm glad I did. This place has a lake, small beach area, tot lot, and volleyball area. I had tried this place during the summer, but it was way too hot and crowded then. Today I had it all to myself. ;D
Being a sucker for a volleyball area, I hit it first and walked away with a whopping 35 cents and a ring that I first thought was a wedding band. Neat ring, but not silver or gold. It looks like a tiger eye material with a glitter in it.
I then headed to the large tot lot and dug some more clad and a "SPORN" tag. It says "Sporn.com" on the other side. It may be a porn site with mushrooms (spore porn) so I dare not look. :o
After I completed the tot lot, I hit underneath a few picnic benches. BINGO, I dug a small gold ring. Not sure if it is a pinky or toe ring (size 4.5)? It has a letter "B" (Bling?) on the front. Inside it has the following:
"LKM" "375" "2000". Is 375 a 10k or 14k gold?
I was jazzed to find some gold again finally.
Little did I know, I was in for a bigger treat. :o I started MDing the small sandy area by the water, but only found pull-tabs, fishing sinkers, and a few pennies. I then moved up to the small grassy area right next to the sand. After about 20 pull tabs I almost gave up. I'm glad I didn't. I dug a plug, and within that plug I saw the wonderful glimmer of GOLD again!!! Yaba-daba-doo! ;D It was a beautiful decorative wedding band. I could just tell it was the real thing. :D I had no one to high-5, so I did the Tesoro Tango with my Mighty Tesoro.
You can see the "14K" stamp. It looks like there was possible initials inside next to the 14k stamp, but they are worn down too much to read. The size is 6.5.
It has some size to it, so I'll weight it on the scale at work tomorrow.
Sorry for the long-winded post, but I'm still high as a kite. ;D ;D ;D
Have a great week,
MM

Added the weight and a few more pix.

I really like the style of this 14k ring. This ones a keeper.
Thanks for looking.

Great golden finds!!!

Sporn.com isn't as bad as you guys think...

Even though they offer leashes, halters, harnesses, and collars ::)

Obviously I wasn't scared to Google it ;D

Think about it... key chains aren't the best way to advertise a porn site ;)

Hey Doug, someone beat me to the 9ct gold question. That's all I find in Ireland, its by far the commonest for jewelry. A nice haul of rings, even though its only 9ct, its still got gold in it!

Re: MINER Strikes GOLD!!! One is nice, but I like TWICE!!!

So you said it was a flower symbol so I guess that would make the Assay office Sheffield which uses a rose according to the website link.

The second link shows the shape and letter codes to determine the year of assay.

It looks like a script capital "C" in the photo and the shape looks like #5 from the link.
If so, that would make it assey'd in 1977 or 1870. It looks old but maybe not that old, so if the info is correct, maybe 1977?

:)

Thanks everyone for your replies. Gold is always a treat to find.
I love MDing no matter what kind it is. Farms, tot lots, old houses, or beaches; it doesn't matter. It's all fun to me.
Have a super week.

Re: MINER Strikes GOLD!!! TWICE!!! *UPDATE: Weight & PIX***

Great finds, The wedding band is real sweet. The little one is probably a childs ring (seen them at walmart) a toe ring usually has a break in the back of the ring, yes even the gold ones do to, I wear a couple gold toe rings myself and all three are not closed so they can be fit to the toe.

I agree with ya 100%, Crackbadger! I've got a lot of Buffalos and V-Nickles that I wouldn't have otherwise if I had pulltabs knocked out, Not to mention a nice 1966 10K class ring (which I am still trying to track down the owner of!)
