unfortunately the trash comes with the good stuff, the other bad thing is that the trash greatly out numbers the good stuff, the good thing is if you take out the trash as you dig it, you won't have to ever deal with that particular trash again as you search for the good stuff. it looks like you have found some good stuff, so don't give up

Finding silver is never bad :). And it's an older date Mercury Dime, too. That could mean other, older coins are there to be had, especially pre-1930. How old are those Wheaties? That would be another sign.

Happy hunting! :tchest:

These are encouraging finds! If possible I would put another 50 hours in. There is more silver there.

Thanks for all the input guys. I plan to work that area till my back gives out...hehe. It's quite a large area and i wish i could bring you guys out there with me:notworthy: I put in another two hours tonight and turned up a 1954 rosie and a 1939 wheat, other than that, a whole lotta bottle caps and foil but thats ok. Those wheaties range in date from 1913 to 1959. IMAG0379.jpg IMAG0382.jpg

Finding a 1913 Wheatie and a 1918 Merc is great! BTW, those bottle caps, anything really old or just modern? You never know, older bottle caps could be worth something. Could be relics waiting for ya, too.

Yes, some os them are very old but cant make out and name brand on the caps. I spent a couple more hours there today and turned up 3 more wheaties. 1926, 1938 and 1940 but was really cool was this 1970 D penny that is in amazing condition. IMAG0387.jpg
