Hello, I haven't been on here for quit awhile due to Massachusetts and its long winters which put a damper on my artifact hunting. So on to what I've got now, I can identify some basic scrapers knives grinders ect, however the image below contains the artifacts in question. Any opinions are most welcome! welcome to the tnet rosteen
if you want to learn this is a good site for you
i sure would be proud of that axe
definitely a nice find on the full grooved axe and a rare find too it would be a good idea to return to that area where you found it
i cannot imagine where a north american indian could even think of a boat with a sail 5000 years ago
no disrespect meant and once again rosteen, i welcome you to the tnet and thanks for posting the axe......i would like to see a few more images of it......just sayin'

rosteen85, I neglected to give you the very best advice you could get at this point, IMHO. Since you live in Ma., visit the Robbins Museum of Archaeology in Middleboro. There you will see thousands of Ma artifacts, and the more genuine artifacts you see, the better you'll learn what is not an artifact. You can also bring things for identification. Better to show your finds to the archaeologically experienced staff here then to a geologist. Much better in fact!

keep in mind that nearly always an actual worked stone isn't up for discussion....it is obvious. some of your rocks may indeed be worked but we need individual pix of both sides, close up. I can't really see most of what you got there.

More pics could tell for sure on the Axe. Allot of editing going on I have noticed. They hit the solved button but cant show more pics?
