Got out to my permission spot and hit a hot area! In one little 5x5ft area I dug what looked to be a ground burst case-shot, with several nice fragments of the shell as well as part of the fuse and quite a number of the lead balls it was filled with. In the surrounding area I scored a fired Gardner, a fired .69 Tower Musket bullet, a number of 3-ringers, a strange solid-base .54 or .58 bullet, and an Enfield Rifle lock-plate! Finds had been getting sporadic, so I really had to go deep into the weeds and look for spots that were difficult to access. Thanks for looking, and happy hunting!
