Out with one of my digging buddies John LeFevre yesterday and found my first Mississippi Infantry Button!!

Backmark, "Hyde and Goodrich".

A field that has produced some pretty nice buttons, including a couple VA State Seal buttons, and New York buttons as well! Some of these were found by Ina Finn and John LeFevre

Was a great day for both of us as John found cut silver and a New York Staff Button!

Really nice old button.

Wonderful find. Great work. Would the first Miss Artillery have the same button with an A in the place of the I?

The fact that this war even happened and that relics from it are still being found today just sends chills up my spine.
Lets never forget the horrors of the Civil War. Nice button anyway, it's worth alot of money

Thats a great button. My detecting partner pulled 2 of them out of a field here in Illinois about 5 yrs. back.

Congratz! That is an awesome button! Now if you could just get it back down here to Mississippi. I'll PM you my address. The state thanks you in advance!

lol!! we were surprised to see that in the area we were in! New York and VA buttons have been found in this field!

I always think about the relics that I dig, thinking that it was dropped from a CW soldier also gives me chills at times! We also dig rev war and the war of 1812 relics!

nice rare button. Way up there on my list.
