Hit the beach today...nothing spectacular but the Model T hubcap was neat and a copper to figure out. Nice to be able to get out in the winter and have a chance at something old.

Nice hubcap, I found one just like that in a farm field a couple of weeks ago before the deep freeze hit, really cool item. Hope you get an ID on your copper! What method do you use to try to get a date to show?

Nothing will get the date to show on that copper...worn completely away.

Looks like you have an old copper there! Maybe a KG copper based on that line toward the bottom of your coin and what looks like a wheel. May be a farthing based on its size. Get the diameter and weight since there are a lot of 1700's coins with a line toward the bottom. Nice score!

Copper is something like a Kyan and Camac or North American token etc..

So.awesome that you got out. That's about the only option we have left, is the beaches. It produced some neat finds. Good one Romeo!

Nice finds Romeo. I got one of those hubcaps last year. Yours must be the 4th since at least that I have seen posted.

Well done Romeo. I think that "FORD" hub cap stands for Found Old Relic Detecting. :laughing7:
Congrats on the token too,
Doug

Nice finds. Just looking at that old Ford hub cap makes me think about the quality of workmanship and how well things were made at one time. In todays throw away society that would be made of plastic or paper thin metal, and the Ford logo would be a sticker pressed on there off center.

And that sticker would be made in China!

It's nice to see you are able to do the shoreline still, I can see an outline of one but that's about it.

The hub cap is a cool find as the copper, and a very good ID IP!

Now that I know what I'm looking at I can now see the script letters on the reverse...

Yes, it's a whole lot easier when you have a guideline because even the smallest amount of detail can confirm an id.
