I squeezed in a hour hunt this afternoon and had some luck. I got some odds and ends but the best finds were a sterling ring and two silver dimes. I have a few mystery’s on my hands. The first mystery is the ring has a mark at the top underneath besides the sterling mark on the band with symbols and 10k stamped in it that has a line scratching it out? You’ll see in my pictures. Second mystery is what the “MON” in front of “STER” means? Last mystery is a big silvery coloured object that has a clasp? Any ideas on that would be appreciated. Thanks for looking! Very cool finds!

Perhaps the ring was cast from a mold (or wax form) intended for 10k production? The maker scratched the 10k to cancel it, then stamped the ring "STER".

That’s a great guess. You could be right. I wonder how often that would happen! 🤔[emoji16]

Cool finds. That ID bracelet looks exactly like one I found. Is there a name on it?

I couldn’t see any. It looks like it was made of a cheaper white metal material so it’s in bad shape now. Maybe it did at one time. If only they would’ve bought a silver one back then instead! 🤔[emoji16]

Yes, hindsight is 20/20. Mine was also a cheaper metal, but it was a water find so it didn't fair too badly. Congrats on the finds!

Thanks. I’m curious on yours. What did yours say? Have a inscribed name?Any maker marks? Date how old it was at all? Post a pic here if you have one handy. I’d like to see it! [emoji16][emoji106]
