Monday - July 03, 2006 Finds

Picked up 2 rolls of pennies at the grocery store i saw an older man pay for bread with. Figured I may get lucky - scored a 44 and 57D wheat.

Picked up $243 in halves from 2 banks ($207 and $36)

Scored the following:

1950 Franklin 90%
and 13 40%ers (67x6, 68Dx6, 69D)
2000 Republic of Liberia 5 Dollar coin - just slightly larger than a US half.

Also got 3 Ike's as well (72x2, 76)

Great finds!!! How do your banks have so many halves? At all the banks in my town when i ask they only have 2 or 3 at most. Are the halves really hidden in the vault and the tellers are just to lazy to look?

Yeah - i occassionally hit a place with somei n the vault - usually i say im looking for about $80 in halves, and sometimes they go to the vault for em - then i go back soon to get the rest. I've hit two places with alot in vaults recently ($480 at one - $270 at another). I hit a bunch of banks though in my daily travels - so that helps alot - quantity is in my favor.
