It isn't an axe. I had it assessed at Penn State. Thanks.

Labeling something a monolith is nothing more than saying its a single piece of stone

Right you are "gator", of course it could be something more than just a monolith, it could be ?????... Fred Flintstones ping pong paddle.
Not poking fun at you "cjprof" just trying to funny.
It certainly is an interesting monolith, looking forward to hearing what you found out at the university and welcome to TNET.

So why the cryptic answers ? If you had it looked at by professionals what do they think it is and what do they base their answer on ? The folks who run this place are pretty laid back. You're allowed to type more than one sentence per post.... Unless you're just screwing with us.

Better pictures from a lot more angles would be great. Hard to tell anything about it in that pic other than it is just a big ole rock.

But what does that mean, "assessed"? Most university people know far less then experienced collectors do. Depending on what department, universities are sometimes the best place to get the wrong information. Geology Department? Anthropology Dept.? What are you saying this is?

Its a piece of limestone of course I was just playing with you. All kinds of weird rocks in a creek.
