I just saw my first Minelab Gold Monster in person today during an MPA (Mohave Prospectors Association) Club outing at Gold Basin Az.
One of the members using it had unearthed a nice picker just before I arrived.

The wind was howling and most of the prospectors had left except for two couples who welcomed me as a guest and made me feel at home.
Both couples were proud owners of the Minelab Gold Monster 1000. After being allowed to try one out for myself I was impressed. It was very lightweight and detected a tiny piece of copper wire about the size of one leg of a standard staple at 8"

I'm sure it's just a matter of time before you strike gold with yours :icon_thumright:
Every piece of trash puts you that much closer.

Go for the Gold!
GG~

My wife loves hers and found two small nuggets her first outing with it!

Easy to learn, easy to swing, easy to tell when there's a target (sounds off [no threshold], and the digital display signals non-ferrous probability as well). Bought Doc's ultra-swingy thingy and his rods kit for the Monster for her too, recommend it.

All the best, and that little detector will find the gold,

Lanny

If you're swinging that coil over the right ground, sooner or later you'll get it over a nugget and that little machine will let you know it.

Hang in there, and all the best,

Lanny

I picked up a Monster too, I'm really liking it. Had an issue and had to return it but Minelab took very good care of me. I too have not found any gold yet but as Lanny states it's only a matter of time!

It kept rebooting without user input. Minelab had me test it with both batteries and both coils to make sure they were not the issue then sent me postage to send it back to them. Since it was less than 30 days old they did a replacement rather than a repair so I had the new one back in about 10 days.
