We did 2 pieces of bird cover, one we have not done & one we have done a few times. They have still not been drilled due to the dry conditions & 1 of them was fairly weedy & grassy.
Ground getting tough for Cru'dad to dig. Need some rain!
I detected 5.5hrs, Cru'dad did 3hrs 15 mins:

18th C Navy Button
6th C Saxon Brooch (top section)
2 Scrappies
2 Lead Tokens
German Jetton (late 16th C)
Debased Roman Silver, maybe Sev. Alex.

Crusader what does a debased coin mean? Is it like a decommissioned coin, or to take out of circulation? Thanks.
I think it means it has been changed by someone, like a love token is done or a hobo nickel,That is my understanding of debased.

It's the adding of a base metal (often copper) to a precious metal coin like this Silver Denarius. Making the %age of Silver content much lower than usual. Often used in periods of shortage or crisis. If the base metal gets too high they would call this Billion coinage.
