More cellar pit discoveries..

Did a quick 2 hr dig today at the same location, found some new stuff, was also watched by a few coyotes . I found an old mortise lock, a few other odds and ends and a strange semi lightweight metal box/tin that has some shine and writing on it. When I de-rust the items I will post better pictures, I have the sifting bug..lol. Good thing is, tomorrow I have all day to work this location.

No, since this soil is full of iron and a such objects, that it would be pointless for me to do so. I have hunted this ground before with my machine, only to leave frustrated.
