Got out there again with IFoundIt for a day hunt.
Although we didnt do as well as last time, it was still a good hunt.
I was able to add a second Virginia cufflink and a good handful of lead. It was unfortunate the cufflink came out of the hole in two pieces.
One piece of camp lead looks to have some teeth marks on it. It was about 20 feet from where I found the needle that looks to be CW period so maybe there was a medical tent in the vicinity. Who knows for sure, and who knows if it's even teeth marks.
I'm due up for a visit to my dentist, maybe I'll bring it along and see what he thinks.
According to the old timer we were talking to, the story goes an old canon is out in the wet part of the field. When the troops were moving out it got stuck in the swampy muck. Anyone have GPR we could borrow?!
Good luck out there..

Nice bunch of relics. They look like they were deep too. You need help getting the cannon out let me know. I bet you could use a probe and find it. You can make them to run about 5 feet. Nice finds.
