Well had a good weekend here. Found some more republic of France buttons 1794, and finally found some nice roman stuff. Love finding the hammered silver here. They are so small here in Germany... Still looking for my first gold coin. Also found a sword from about 1794-1805. The pic is of just the Hilt.

Thanks, It almost took my head off, it was only 1-2 inches down and the size of a half dollar, but twice as thick.

Mike,

All of these were found in plowed fields. Almost all the fields here in Germany are plowed except for the sugar beat. Problem is now that there is way to many fields and not enough time. And I can't get out for another week or so. But I will out if force in a week or so.

I think Mike, knows he lives in Germany :D

Nice finds, I know what you mean about too much choice. Does my head in. I need an Army of detectorist, my Dad helps but we are only doing a fraction of what I would like.

Hi Ski, you anywhere near K-Town, or R-Stein, S-Bach ? Me, I´m just down the road from there, or are you across the river ?

I'm in the Kaiserslautern area. My detecting buddy and I almost always make our way to Mainz area, but some of this stuff came from fields around Ramstein.

Just went out with the GF and found some type of button with a rampent lion on it. Not sure what that is from.

Sounds like a Livery button from 1790s-1830s
