More Snow Swinging yields two silver quarters and some wheats

Hi everyone

Didnt plan on hunting today but you know how that goes. Its my dad's bday and my brother wanted to meet up at the grave and see the old man for a minute.

On the same road as the cemetery there is a large hill bordered by some turn of the century homes. We've found a good bit of silver on these hills over the years.

My bro said why not bring our machines and hit the hill for a hr or so. You dont have to ask me twice.

Nothing really old but first plug of the day had a 39 washington in the hole. Not 3 mins later 5 ft away i was holding my second silver qtr a 56.

Shortly after my bro yells hey i got a 25 merc. There was about 3 inches of snow on the ground so i was only cherry picking signals.

But not bad for a hr or so of hunting. These are silvers 6 and 7 for 2019.

Thanks for looking.

Jer

Good hunt good for you and your brother to pay the visit a lot of us don't!!!!Well done

Sounds like a great area to hunt. Congrats on the silvers!

Thanks for the replies.

Yeah we miss the old man. Been gone now almost 9 years. It's harder for my brother I think because he died when he was only like 19. I was 29 so I had more time with him. He didn't always do the right thing or make the right choices. But at the end of the day we knew he cared about us and that was the most important thing to us. He died young 56.

Yeah I like to believe he's always with me and watching over us. I think he shined those silver quarters on me that morning. It was literally the first plug I cut 5 minutes after walking away from the grave. I got him into hunting a few years before he passed away. He really liked the hobby also.

This hill has given up a lot of silver over the past 20 years. There are a lot of signals that need cleared out. Nothing really old but hard to leave any silvers in the ground when you know their there. Gonna try and hit it hard this Sunday if the weather holds up.
