When I was in the army we had these tiny plastic containers, bout half the size of eye drops. It was 100%deet haha few drops on the boots and pants and your good, if you have a military surplus store around you check it out, they might have it, just don't put it on your skin
If that's too extreme my grandmother swears by lysterine put it in a spray bottle I've never tried for ticks but it works better than bug spray for Mosquitos

Good to see a buckle like that complete, the 250 year old leather is a bonus.

About ticks.ifn ya take some Garlic pills in the summer for a while like 3 weeks etc before going out the ticks will not bother you as much or not at all. Give your dog or cat a good dose of pills every day and the fleas and ticks will abate, rwd mo

Thanks! I prefer pizza with garlic, i hope that works too! For the dogs we have a fluid that works good, but it's not for humans..... :laughing7:

I will try to get some from a local air force base. I have some buddies there. Surplus stores don't stock anything wich is some kind of medicine over here.

This is the closest looking pic I could get and it's 75%, I got out 3 years ago, but I'm pretty sure the stuff we were using for bug repellent was from Vietnam cause it was older looking than this haha , and newer military grade repellent is only 35% deet , if your friends cant hook you up, try some online military surplus or cheaperthandirt.com

Also notice this stuff will melt plastic and strip paint haha so keep it off the skin, I'm actually looking for a place to get some myself because I am getting eatin alive out her in Connecticut!
