My son found this along a artifact rich Valley top. Does anyone know what it could have been used for? In the sunlight it has a metallic shine to it. I will get some better pictures. Thanks

most likely nothing, but i have seen highly polished stones used to burnish pottery before firing...adds a glazed like look.

No evidence it was ever altered or utilized by man. Could be a Gastrolith though..

Good call on the gastrolith. I'd say that's exactly what it is. Thanks
