Mother's Day finds..

Went to the MIL's house for lunch. Had to stop and get some fuel at yhe Chevron & as always asked the cahier if they had some halves. Yeah... i got a few here, do you want them? Yes please. $5.50 later & I now have 4 more 40% halves to add to the pile.. HH Doug

Real nice! That is a good tip for all of us. Grocery stores and gas stations have loads of transactions every day. If you can't see into the drawer, it never hurts to ask. We have taught ourselves to glance into those teller trays, cash drawers can hold surprises too. You got more silver than most boxes hold and next to nothing to dump. Good Job!!

Nice. Around here, the cashiers set aside any odd coins, including halves, to keep for themselves.
