weather was a lot nicer when we arrived around 9am, cold but no wind. once again brought down all the stuff to move the rock and sluice.
we moved some material to get a rocknet on the boulder, found it was wedged between two other boulders, but i came prepared and snaked a chain through and pop it out, took a while but you know us miners stubborn as a rock.
we started moving material through the box using a #2 classifier, and with high hopes, scraped off the first couple of inches from the red layer, ran half dozen buckets and only a couple small pieces were showing. down to bedrock we go and found a nice crevice.
a lot of gray mud and oldtimers stuff was in the crack, still plenty of mud in the crack couldn't get down to all of it ( the bar shows why)so will be making another trip with something to get to the bottom of the crevice. found 9gr total ( +30 ) this time
enjoy

Hi 2cmora,
Yup, nice looking bar in that crack! Hope yours is more easily accessed!! By the way could you share with me/us'ns what kind of a hoist/pulling device you are using (make model cost where you purchased etc.) and what you think of it? I'd appreciate it bunches!! I've a few things going through my mind that need pulling and my last unit, a 4000lb cable hoist form Harbor Freight, is starting to fall apart after one two week session so I'd like to know about what you are using...........63bkpkr

Hoser John, you made me laugh!

hey 63
I have had this lug-all, com-a-long for years and have been really happy with how it works, i don't remember what i paid for it ( i think it may have been around $180.00) but what ever i paid its been well worth the money. I bought it at Friedmans Hardware in Sonoma County, CA. its way lighter then the Grip-Hoist, i think this one i have weighs about 15 pounds, with 1/4" cable has about a 30'reach with single cable and 15' reach when you double up and use the pulley, which is really sweet, and i have never had any problems with this unit and i have moved lots of rocks

2C,
Thank you for the Lug-All input! My last Harbor Freight unit started to fall apart within a few days of use and I would like to have something I can count on. The Lug-All may just be the ticket.................63bkpkr

May your bruises be small and your nuggets be large.................
