You won’t find a damn thing in the Cape. Town was founded in 1958, and the oldest houses down by the yacht club are landscaped out, or drowning in thick floratam grass that’s not worth the effort to hunt.
There are 20 or so old timers and regulars who hit the beaches daily. Fun to hunt while on vacation, but living there, trust me, it’s not worth the effort.
Your best bet would be to find permissions close to town, where the housing boom of the 1920’s gave us hunters about a hundred or so remaining lawns. I’ve hit most of them, but not all….and also no place is ever hunted out. I got a buddy there who still finds keepers after we both pounded the ground.

Be on the lookout for street and easement tear outs. Edison Park, Dean Park, Seminole Park, Foleys Highland Park and the McGregor corridor for some reason or another gets tore up on short notice. My 4 silver dollar banner score happened that way, so there’s always a chance when the dirt gets turned up.
Good luck down there, tell those old pirates down there I don’t miss them.
