Well, if you were there, you might want to get your facts straight.

1) Where is Xia Xia? Did you meant Xai Xai (ex-João Belo, in colonial times)?

2) If you meant Xai Xai, then this is a 26 hour drive between Xai Xai and the actual wrecksite of the 1559 "Garça", which was at Mozambique island.

3) Now, who did get all those cars and trucks? All the Mozambican archaeologists I know, are either on foot or have just a motorbike..

1) The 1559 Garca is off Xai-Xai. Did you find it at Mozambique Is.?
2) Ricardo's students bought new vehicles.

The account published says it was at Cape Correntes, several hundred miles north of Xai Xai, at Tofo, but furter research shows that it was furter, further north than Bazaruto most probably at some miles south Mozambique Island.

So you did not actually find it?

HOORAY FOR ARCHAEOLOGY! :dontknow:

Like in a post I replied to earlier, keep your yap shut or Archies will have it shut down or destroyed in a matter of time. Just like sites I hunt. I’ll be damned if I ever mention it to an archeologist even if he was a friend, they all act like they have a LEGAL obligation to save the world from anyone who metal detects. They should all have T-Shirts with a S on it for Superman.
