Those are some solid numbers for Wheaties. Good averages. Keep it up. Hope to see more of this. HH

Why save the 2009 cents? I do cause I like the look, curious to know if any other reason?

And great find as well. My favorite to search are nickels. That one roll had to be fun to find, all 40s and 50s! HH

My kids like the 2009s and they are actually harder to find in boxes than wheats in my area..
The 40s/50s roll was cool but was hoping for silver or buffs I saved the others but nothing I was really looking for.

Was in the grocery store with my daughter today and on the way out we spotted a coin in the coinstar machine. She snagged it and was a nice looking 1926 wheat penny. Got em harvesting wheat at a young age (and best coinstar find to date)

You have really good penny boxes. I rarely find any wheats from the 20s and 30s. Most are 40s and 50s with a couple teens. Do you save all of the copper?

I hand sort with my kids and we do save the copper piling it up in 5 gallon bucket right now. Not sure why but I want to fill it but will just keep it as a momento probably. Do you do penny boxes often?

Took a break but did a box each last night and today:
Box 15 - 20 wheats (40,41, 42,45X3,46,50D, 52DX3, 53D, 55X2, 56X2, 57, 57DX2, 58D,)

Box 16 - 29 wheats (20, 35, 41X2, 44X6, 45X3, 45D, 46D, 50, 50D, 53, 53DX2, 56X2, 56DX2, 57DX2, 58, 58DX2)

Log of my previous boxes is at the top of the post.

Also saved 95s, 98,99, and 2000s to look for errors which made it take a lot longer. Will report back on those later not sure I'll do that again.

Looks like I am more a winter/late fall kind of CRHer but did do my 17th box of pennies of the year today. Needed alot of pennies for my son's karate penny fundraiser (charity crh dumping) so they get whats left from the box after wheat and copper extraction.

Snagged 18 wheats pretty nice variety of dates:
27
30
35
36
41
42
42D
44

46
51
51D
55X2

58D

Also found an interesting looking 92 that I will post to see if its worth anything.

Haven't done any boxes in awhile but while in a local credit union checked the coin machine and found a lonely penny.
Took a look and it was a real nice looking 1919 wheatie.

If a machine rejects at least one wheat is it likely it would have rejected them all? Because if they had old ones like that would have loved to have the bag..

Got the urge to do a hunt today so hit lots of local banks looking for half dollars, big dollars and to complete my kids Presidential collections..

Got skunked on the halves probably $10 worth across all the banks
2 Ikes but nothing good
Got all of the non NIFC coins we needed included nice Andrew Jacksons (the best president) and John Tyler's..

Got to dump about $150 worth of Presidentials at TD eventually...

Ramping up the CRH interest now that it is getting cold again.

Picked up the following at the bank:
4 MWR Halves rolls
Customer Wrapped: $20 quarters; 20$ dimes, 10$ nickels, $2 pennys

Finds: 67 Half dollar (in first roll I opened) & 1 55 Wheat.

Pretty good on the halves made me want to get more but gonna ramp up slow.

Bought a box of halves and 20$ customer wrapped halves they had. Both SKUNKS I got to say I admire the persistence of crh'ers that get their boxes week in week out despite regular skunks.
