I was supposed to meet up with someone at 5 but unfortunately things happen. I was about 5 minutes from where I found a stirrup last week so FB_IMG_1597713012469.jpg FB_IMG_1597713963755.jpg IMG_20200817_201258.jpg IMG_20200817_201432.jpg IMG_20200817_201353.jpg IMG_20200817_201517.jpg IMG_20200817_201522.jpg IMG_20200809_201248.jpg I decided to check that area for a while. I spent a good hour and found some nice stuff. The area is overgrown with small trees that makes it hard to swing around, glad I have a small coil. Found 2 flat buttons, a large tombac button, iron saddle buckle, a small pewter spoon with a maker and a tombac bell. The clanger was in the hole, but I think it had a small wood handle that rotted away. The clanger itself was fixed at one time by the owner, they replaced the ball with a metal nut. the spoon has a maker of JG Baldwin. It's the first pewter spoon I've found with a maker on it.

Nice going on the Bell and stirrup.
I found a similar bell years ago and got a handle turned on a lathe. I looked up some period desk bell images a choose what would look the best.
