I'm a bit of a music junkie, so naturally, I like to have my earbud headphones in one of my ears while I'm digging and driving and sluicing...what do you like to listen to while you prospect? I like fast paced music that makes me stay motivated. Band-Rumble Club Song-Mother Lode this is my favorite, always listen at least once before prospecting!! Cheers! JB

Quick thread hijack- I'm a huge Marshall Tucker fan. One of the top five bands I'd always wanted to see in concert. About ten years ago by buddy, who knows I like them says they are headlining a "festival" not far away. I'm all in! So on a beautifull spring day April 20 to be exact (date should be a giant clue as to the type of festival) we load up and head out. We arrive and wade thru the sea of tie-dye and pass thru the gates manned with outlaw bikers. We set up our "camp" near a friendly group of Volkswagen van enthusiasts. The concert wasn't for several hours so we decide to get a bite to eat, pop a few tops and watch the weirdness go by. About this time our friendly neighbors stop by to wish us well and offer us a slice of "homemade carrot cake"- yep the date should again be a clue, right? Well I'm a little slow on the uptake sometimes and I like carrot cake so.....several hours later I emerge from a foggy haze and its Showtime. We make our way to the venue thinking we are late. "Check one two - hey!" Cool still doing Mike check and the band is a "little late". Two hours later and we are still listening to "check one two hey!". Finally at 10:45 Marshall Tucker takes the stage, the crowd goes wild, I can barely make them out thru the smoke, but hey their here and I get to see MT live, life is good! They start playing - Fire on the Mountain - yes! They get about half way thru the song and a long line of law enforcement comes on stage and shuts them down. The town has a sound ordnance curfew at 11. We heard the band set up and played accoustic all night in the restricted off limits backstage camping area.

425jesse I Just listened to Rumble Club, Mother Lode, I like it Johnny Cash goes skater punk. Along the same lines as the eels, hillbilly casino, and the Route 66 Killers. Must be an electrician thing![/QUOTE]

That's awesome, I've met so few people that know who Hillbilly Casino is, I enjoy them too.

And, BTW, a big-a** thanks to you for turning my ear towards Route 66 Killers...That is so right up my alley!! Reminds me of Satan's Pilgrims a little.

Thanks Roaddust! Never been a big fan of Fogelberg, but truly enjoyed that ballad.

I always appreciate it when the closed captions work on music video's
(or any video), but sadly on most music vid's they don't. Fogelberg took
the time to share the lyrics so everyone can enjoy it..:icon_thumright:
