Musketball find

Still scratching head on that button. But, at that same park today found either a musketball or a muzzleloader ball. Any way to tell how old these are? Not perfectly round as i would expect modern projectiles of that type to be, but it has not been fired. Most likely it was dropped. The British forces were known to have come right thru here so i'm hoping it is from the Revolutionary era. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

This sounds like the musket balls I find around the same area. I don't know much about them. Let me know if you learn more about the button too. That could be an interesting find. Washington's troops were all over the place in our area, as I'm sure you know. Bergie

We should compare them Bergie and see if the calibers match up or for any other similarities. I will bring it along when we hit that creek. As for the button, i have found nothing yet? I will bring it along also for you to have a look at.
