Hi out of these 2 metal detectors do you think
would come out on top in a battle of MD's.

MINELAB X-Terra 70 or WHITES MXT E-series

Im looking for a detector which can be used to
hunt COINS, RELICS, JEWLERY, BEACH must
have manual ground balance, target ID, tone ID,
and show the Vdi #'s of said item. Must be able
too operate in Black Sand at a beach too.

And it must have a button which can be pushed
to reject certain Vdi #'s like it can be done on the
X-terra 70

LOL, Ive been waiting for an answer to this as well. Folks are pretty quiet about it so it seems. What did you decide? ??? ::)

I never used the MXT but love the X-terra70 it is auto ground balance and also manual ground balance very easy to ground balance.....And it is a...coin...jewlery...relic..beach..and nugget...detector......==Jim==

The MXT will do you well. The x-70 gets great reviews but really it does the same thing.
The main difference between the two, is the MXT is locked into an operating Frequency of 14.75 on all its coils. The x-70 is a multi frequency machine but only in the sense that it will allow you to use three different coils EACH operating at different frequencies. Thats a real plus for those who need that kind of flexibility.

If you re read your concerns and questions you'll see that you answered yourself already.

Yeah, reading your intitial post it looks like if you leaned any farther toward the X-70 you'd fall off the page, LOL.
