My 10th 1789 George Washington Inaugural Button a few coins & a Sword Scabbard band

Got out with Todd back up to the site we went last weekend where he dug his eagle plate and I got my silvered shoe buckle.usually when i dig a horse shoe I have a good day.
3 Indian head pennies 1860,1864 & 1901.a 1867 2 cent piece. a nice old (bat wing style) buckle.
a smashed flat Sword Scabbard band with the ring and my 10th 1789 George Washington memorable era variety button.a shame it's pretty toasted

i left what black crud was still stuck on it otherewise i'd be lookin at a plain old colonial coat button.I gave it a shot of hairspray so least the black date will stay on. oh well that's the way it goes.

Todd did just as well in the finds dept with GW button being a gem unlike mine.

It's a shame the condition is poor on that GW, but its still a great find! The rest of your relics look good too. Congrats! :icon_thumright:

What a fantastic hunt there HMN. 10 GWs, I think you have the market cornered in that department, very impressive :notworthy:. The sword scabbard is also very impressive. What about that spoon piece, can you date it at all?

Great finds and congrats on GW #10!

ZDD, I think those spoons date to the late 1700's.

Congrats on the GW button and the other early relics. I love those pewter spoons with the scalloped design. Great hunt!

I think we've all been guilty of "wishing it in better condition" certainly know I am.
At least in your case Dave you already have a few real nice ones. and hey it still counts, as PepperJ says, quite a milestone.

Even without that button it was a good day. that buckle, and scabbard thingy. Not to mention a 2 center that many a hunter would practicly kill for. Yep a good day.

I can't even imagine how in a lifetime - anyone could detect 10 G.W. buttons , I would think that that feat places you in very elite company !
