My 1st "Old" house lot, wish me luck!

Hey!

I saw this news article in my Friday paper and went down to watch them move it off the lot to make ready for Saturdays' move.

http://www.ocregister.com/articles/house-williams-through-2312851-home-street

While I was there I got a chance to ask the property manager if I could MD the lot before they cleared the foundation.
He said "YES"! Being a detectorist from several years past, he too was hopeful that we might be able to find something
of the past.

The house was built in 1901 as a farmhouse but was moved to it's present site in 1920 to become the parsonage.
The grounds have not been disturbed in all that time so my hopes are high. I will not be disappointed though,
even if all I find is a single wheat penny. It is my first old house and I got permission first!

I'll keep you informed of the results.

Steve, Fullerton, Ca

That site definitely looks like it has some potential. :o

Now put your hands on your computer monitor, I'm channeling as much good luck as I can muster. :icon_jokercolor:

Good luck, we want to see some goodies

Good luck Steve,

Looks like it has potential to give up a few old coins, and keep an eye out for marbles on the surface.

What type of detector do you use?

Just a couple of blocks away from where I live...there are some older homes in the historic district that may have potential. I owned a home a block from the plaza (behind the Library) that was built by a jeweler. Had an incinerator in the back yard that he used to destroy old silver and such...Should go back and see what I can find.

Good Luck. I think you might be on to something there. Glad you have permission first. I'd like to see what you find.

a chance to work a location like that in o.c. is rare , most lots are fenced off with the owner no where to be found , good luck and congrats on a great spot , keep us informed
