year? :laughing7: I wish.

I have been detecting 4 1/2 years and found my 200th silver coin yesterday. It was just a 1960 Rosie but I was thrilled to find it.

I know some of you guys find 200 in a year, but there just doesn't seem to be as much silver around here as up north.

Here are my totals for each year. I'll include my clad totals to show how my numbers changed as I went from hunting mostly schools and parks to older locations.

2014 - 13 (Clad $193.67)
2015 - 30 (Clad $152.46)
2016 - 38 (Clad $161.84)
2017 - 91 (I still haven't cashed in my clad for 2017, but I'm guessing around $150.)
2018 - 28

I’ve been detecting the exact same time and no where near that, but I love what I do have. What’s your oldest silver? I hope I at least have you beat there! Lol

Congrts on digging # 200 Blade Runner. :notworthy:

I've only dug 154 silvers since I started in May 2014. As for clad/total face value of coins dug is $1595.17.

My oldest silver is a 1780 Real.

The oldest U.S. silver is an 1834 Capped bust half dime (dug in NY).

My oldest Large silver is an 1812 French 5 Francs.

When it comes to gold I have dug 5 gold rings and a small gold pocket watch.

I love to dig permissions, but I am not opposed to hunting parks, schools, and other public lands puling clad to help fund the hobby and to keep me out swinging digging good targets.

Good Luck on digging you next 200 silvers.

Thanks guys!

Truth, my oldest silver is an 1853 Dime. Before I found that it was 1855 half dime, which oddly enough, I have found 2 of.

Loco, you clad total is sick! That is a lot of digging! You have me crushed on the gold rings. I found a nice men's gold ring in my first 6 months of digging but haven't found another piece of gold since! I keep thinking I am bound to luck into one sometime. :laughing7: Congrats on the Real! That is definitely one that is on my bucket list.

2017 was probably a fluke and I'll never have that many in a year again. I was lucky enough to find a few public spots that had a decent amount of silver. (2 parks and an area where an old school used to be.)

If I can get 50 silver coins this year I'd be happy with that.

Congrats on the 200th buddy. You are right about the lack of silver coins in NC. That’s an impressive total.

I’ve been at it for 4.5 years too. I still get excited when I see a silver coin.

Good luck brother.

Thanks man. I appreciate it! But, don't you have about 300? :laughing7:

Lately we have been hitting homes from the late 1800's to early 1900's where I just knew there would be multiple silvers, but they aren't producing. I'm starting to think there really isn't a whole lot of silver left to find around these parts.

I didn’t want to mention my total, because it’ll sound like bragging... like that Locodigger guy. I will say that I have neither a seated coin nor a silver dollar, and I know you have both. Well done.

Keep trying the old houses, it’s a numbers game. Sooner or later a good one wil show up for you. Keep the faith, and make sure that you have fun.

Good luck to you sir!
