Bottom, center.

I'm assuming brass, square on one end.

A sort of slit in the other. :dontknow:

One that didn't keep ticking. :)

All that and clad too! Could it get any better? ;)

Thanks for peeking!

Thanks!

I know the feeling. Being blessed enough to be able to pretty much go anytime I want is a goal I've been working toward. Now, that I have it, I'm finding myself hungering for a virgin site. They're out there, I just gotta set my mind to finding one again.

Not complaining though. I am getting a LOT of clad and diverse/interesting finds. Even some nice rings. It's just that I really love to find old coins. I'm pretty good at finding the ones others have missed. But, if I had a new site of my own. Well, it just would be fun to have lots of finds possible and none having been disturbed yet. A good site like that and I could spend the rest of my life happy.

Thanks again!
HH!

Nice holder there they don't turn up very often, I've gotten one so far. I got a German silver trumpet button one time , now I'd like to find the rest of it! :laughing7:

Too bad they didn't stamp a date on it somewhere. :)

A silver trumpet would make a truly nice find! ;)

Still trying to figure out the brass thingy. It was entangled in some pretty big roots. Might be old.

Thanks!

I think they did, indeed.

I'd go back to see if there's a lost Souzaphonist down there...

Yep, that's what I was going for, I just couldn't figure what the slot was in the bottom of holder.

Thanks!
HH!
