KKC got out today to a new field. It was located in prime Colonial ground and the weather was perfect for digging. I was the first one to dig a relic. It was a cuff tombac button. After that, the bonanza happened! I dug the beautiful King George II only a foot away from the button. I was pumped! I really do not remember the order I dug the coppers, so I will tell you what else I dug. I popped out a beautiful 1787 New Jersey copper, 1787 Vermont copper , and a 1781 Irish King George III in about 30 minutes of time. Every high signal turned out to be a Colonial copper.
All of the buttons were either tombac or Dandy. It was purely a Colonial site. We found no 19th century artifacts on this 1/4 acre of ground that the relics/coppers were dug. I am still in disbelief on how many Colonial coppers (11) were dug at this site in such a short period of time. I hope you guys enjoyed my thread.
Keep the passion high!
