I found this a while back in a piece of old furniture. It is marked 14k, but I wasn't sure about the stone. I figured if the stone was fake, at least it was 14k right? I had it checked at the pawn shop next to work and a jeweler. The verdict? Not only is the stone fake, but the ring is plated 
On the up side, the jeweler said it was a pretty good fake. He said he can normally tell right away but this one he had look at pretty close. He said he would wear it. The pics don't do it justice.
