I encourage everyone to show their finds, it's great to see. My only worry with a batch of coins like that is some of the rumors I have heard about lost treasure. Some have said that a cache of treasure like that, being over 100 years old, technically belongs to the US Gov. I have only heard bits and pieces of info. like that, maybe someone here can educate me a little more on it. I'm still drooling all over my keyboard and can't imagine your feeling as you kept digging them up.

I've never heard that, but would be VERY interested in learning about it. One thing though... and maybe this might make a difference, this was lost and not hidden. I think they make such a distinction in jolly ol' England. Do they our English brethren?

Simply just great! I confused on lost vs. concealed. You loose a quarter or half. Who looses a 128 of them? Were all these in one area or hole? My hats off to you for finding them! Can't wait to read about how you found them.
