Took a ride out to the same area I’ve been door knocking and even though I was turned down 3 times today but I did talk to the owners and learned quite a bit of local history. Ended up at a farm field I’ve hit before but decided to follow the old cart path into a small section of woods between fields and ended up finding 2 odd 10’ diameter loose stone bases with massive piles of quahog shells near them, very interesting!! So I decided maybe this was a gathering place for possibly trade or sale of the farms goods that date back to the mid 1700s. I found my first couple of coins along the path which included 3 Indians and a Barber dime, a few musket balls and shotgun shells....then out of nowhere a small 15x15 area was loaded with solid clean signals, the cache of coins consisted of 5 silver dimes-(1892-O, 1899, 1905-S, 1907 barbers, 1873 & 1876-CC Seated Liberties), 1882 shield “5” nickel, large copper(1905 Canadian largie after cleaning up), 1900 V nickel, 18 IHP’s. Don’t worry all the holes were properly filled after digging all the signals in the area, makes it easier to see a pattern. Absolute Best day in the woods with bucket listers galore! I’m ready for a celebratory drink!!

Wow! That's a day of coin hunting I think everybody dreams about. I mean lots of bucket list silver including 18 Indians and more. I would be on an incredible high. Congratualations. I'm sure you will be going back. I bet there's some deeper even older silver there. I would be wanting to hit it after a couple of days of raining. Then go slow, listening for those faint repeating signals. Makes me want to go hit a few spots right now! Congrats again and good luck!

Thanks guys, it’s crazy just a few years ago I was swinging my Garett ace 350 saying to myself someday your going to find some awesome stuff with the right persistence and research and upgrading slowly to now an equinox 800 it’s definately a high I never expected to reach, but I’m on cloud 9 lately and I couldn’t be happier saving such pieces of history.

Not too shabby, I'd love to have a day like that before the snow flies! Congratulations on a killer haul,
