I am not much on technical stuff, but I imagine the "pros" will want to know what kind of hunting and what he wants to accomplish with an upgrade. Monty

Point well taken Monty, didn't think of that. We usually hunt together, mostly ground hunting as in school fields, soccer fields and that sort of thing. Even though we live on an island, we do little beach hunting! Interests is coin shooting and any jewelry we can stumble upon...hope this helps! :help:

I would think that around school yards and playground equipment, a smaller stinger type coil would be a very good investment. For hunting large fields and open areas however I would think a larger DD type coil would be a blessing. There are several manufcturers that make both and I personally would prefer to have both. Be sure to get the extra shaft ends to go with them as it can be changed out in seconds as conditions dictate. Dang, I know more about this than I thought! :headbang: Monty
