Hunted till dusk with my lady. Found two of my fave finds of the old mining camp to date! 1907 V Nickel and a gold ring!!

I found the same ring a few years back! Myn is rose gold and has the exact same markings. I was told it was swiss and that they stopped using the markings In the 20/30s. Where did u find it? Myn was at a old tennis court in PA.

How do you know it's a Otsby and Barton?

I was researching gold ring hallmarks and found this. The three crowns were usually used by the Otsby and Barton co. in many rings

Honestly it looked VERY good when I took it out of the ground mostly just soap and water to clean it. I also acid tested it and it is in fact 14k gold.

That's great! Mine is a bit tarnished, it doesn't seem to wanna clean up much. Would you be able to tell me any ideas on a cleaning process for the very hard tarnish?
