my first "CC"

haven't really been out in the last month-and-a-half, what with world cup, heat and drought, and a decided lack of new sites to hit.
today i had an hour to kill, so i took the se for a stroll, and popped this out within ten minutes. my first hole of the day, and would have been my last, as i turned around and started heading back to the house after this, but there were some interesting enough signals on the way that i ended up adding a .22 bullet and a button to my tally. it's certainly an arguable point, but some days it's best to quit while one is ahead...

Re: my first "CC"

Nice find
My first and only CC was an 1877 seated dime as well. I can identify with your exuberance. In my case though, it was at the end of a 4 hour hunt with absolutely nothing, and I had been debating quitting for about an hour when I got mine... sometimes its better to stop while ahead when other times its good not to quit too soon....

Great find, living not that far from the area I would hope that I will find one some day.

It is odd that I almost never see East Coast CC mint marks, yet yours is the second one I have seen this week!

That is an awesome find!

Re: my first "CC"

Congrats - nice find. An 1876 CC Dime is what got me hooked on MD'ing. Found it in my backyard while learning how to use my Detector. None since though.

Congrats on the first "CC" ! I dug my first Seated Dime last year and that was an 1875 CC. My only Seated and my only CC.

ANY CC is a good one. No matter how long it takes to coax it out of the ground.

Smile, and in Bobby McFerrin's words: "... Be Happy." It's got a good beat and it's easy to dance to. And trust me, if I find a CC coin ... any coin ... I'm going to be dancin'.
