Well I just got a Metal detector(Garrett Ace 250) And today I had a chance to actually do some detecting. I knew of an old site where there were homes many years ago, but now its all forest. Wasnt sure If I would find anything, but I had been looking for about 5 minutes and
Was sorting through a pile of dirt I had gotten a 10 cent signal from, and out pops a dirty 1937 Mercury Dime! ( I washed the dirt off it for the photo) I think its Philadelphia mint mark, but I am not sure, it may just be worn where the mint mark would be. Regardless, Its still pretty Awesome! Metal detecting is so much fun, I am hooked already! I am excited to keep looking. Who knows, maybe with some persistance I can find some really awesome stuff!
