I found this ring the other day, it's just an ordinary wedding band on the outside, but a very special ring to me, it was my fathers, he lost it back in 1990 doing yard work. It was a replacement band for his original that was worn very thin, he only had it for about 3 weeks when he lost it, then he got sick and past away in 94. When I got my detector in 03, the first thing my mother said was I hope you can find your fathers ring I would love to have it back, so when I found it the other day I presented it to her. She was so happy and gave me a big hug, that made me feel so good I just had to share the story with you fellow detectorists, this is such a great hobby. Thanks for looking Dean

In a world where so many people think that "Money Rules", they are mistaken. It's heritage, family, love, and good morals that really matter. I can tell you have a good heart and great parents. Thanks for sharing this story. It made my day.

WTG, one of the best aspects of our hobby is finding lost items for someone and even better when it's someone we know. What a rewarding expirience!!!!!

Well done. I would have thought that maybe there could be a section of Treasurenet dedicated to finds like this...i.e. 'special finds' of no particular value, other than 'special' to the finder for personal or sentimental reasons.
Once again, nice one! :icon_thumleft:
