No, this looks melted?That’s an interesting piece. Does sea water have a corrosive effect on gold?
Could that be a watch part?
Inner workings of older watches were often Gold or heavily gilded.

You might be right here’s a picture going to test the gold purity when I get home but I’ve never seen a solid pocket watch face/dial

Interesting item, but no way its any part of a coin. It does appear to have a "1" but the other is not a "2", looks more like a decorative swirl. Second, gold coin are 90% gold and seawater doesnt affect them. I have a 9K ring from the ocean with far less corrosion than this. I think this is a brass item, with the "gold" areas just scoured sections.
