my first Indian Head!

As im sure theres a lot of you who always carries there detector with them, just because you never know. after running some errands and driving by one of my favorite lots. Should I stop for 5 min? I was out and swingin in seconds. Thru the years I always seem to pull out coins even after I alone have searched this lot 100's of times. I thought lets hunt in all metal and see what comes up, proably 6th swing got a very faint signal, I had a great feeling while I was digging this up .when it first came out saw the back, thought huh another wheatie but wait it looked a little different. When I turned it over and saw the IH face, let's just say I still can't get this smile off my face. And to this date it also being my oldest dated coin I have found. Remember these 5 min stops can sometimes be our most special.

Nice. I hope to get something that old this year.

Once I have a detector in my hands it is impossible to release it for hours

I know the feeling after you find something like that you just don't want to ever leave. what's funny but I guess it really isn't shouldn't have even been doing this, I had back surgery done the 23rd of last month. luckily my girlfriend who is driving was kind enough to let me out because she knows how crazy I've been just laying around the house. Hopefully in another 2 to 3 weeks I'm back doing what i love full time again. it has given me a lot of time to start going through some finds I haven't cleaned or even looked at yet.

Great find. My first indian was in Keokuk falls. Sort of a ghost town in the Potawatomie county panhandle. It was the first liquor stop out of indian territory. Literally every other building was a saloon. I need to get back out there as I've only been once when I was new to the Explorer. That was about 10 years ago. Hey, my indian is even older now!
Congrats, Okie
