My First "LARGE CENT"

When an opportunities come your way, don't pass them up. DP BOB called me Saturday and asked
if I could help his niece out. They had lost some keys and search the campgrounds with no luck.
Bob lives an hour or so away and I'm only minutes away. Called her to set up a time and she said
Monday would be fine. Searched for 2 hours with no luck finding the keys, I didn't pass up good
targets, I did dig 1.22, tabs and some copper parts. Today I hunted 3 and a half hours. I did find
2 keys, but they had been in the dirt for a few years. I was searching along a split rail fence when
I dug this target ( don't remember what it read on the screen), the coin was only an inch down,
first thought was I had found a token ( didn't have my glasses on because I was sweating so bad),
turned it over and that's when I could read ONE CENT. She is a beauty, my first L.C. and my oldest
coin so far that I've dug. I know BOB will be out here to hunt soon. I will be going back after work
each day this week to try and find the goodies before BOB, just kidding, I hope to find the keys for
them.

Woo! Hoo! Congratulations on a super great find, Richard!!!   :icon_king:

It's outstanding! My only real LC was so smooth you could barely make out anything at all. Yours is excellent!

When I saw the quotes around Large Cent in the title of your post, I was expecting to see a smashed penny. LOL!
